REILLY ARCHER-WHELAN

Reilly is an Australian director.

Reilly has had a diverse journey through film production which has allowed her to specialise in multiple avenues of content creation and execution. She is often employed for her ability to overlap in various roles on productions and campaigns ranging from producing, through to directing, and editing.

After graduating from Swinburne University with a Bachelors Degree in Film and Media, Reilly began directing documentaries both in Australia and abroad. Her interest in social activism has lead her to create works around the refugee crisis in Australia, class struggle in South Africa and the looming mass extinction disaster. Her documentary, The Last Extinction, premiered at Melbourne Documentary Film Festival in 2020.

More recently she has moved into narrative directing, specialising in comedy. Her new short film, Bald Future, stars Mark Bonanno from Aunty Donna, actor Jess Kenneally and comedian Joseph Green.
